These land
grants are recorded in volume entitled:
"MICHIGAN SALES OF US RESERVES LANDS: 12 MILE SQUARE AND MICHIGAN
LAND OFFICE", located in the Land Office, Auditor of State, Columbus,
Ohio. Sales were made at Michigan land offices now within the limits of
Ohio, 17 June 1840. All land sold for $1.25 per acre. These Lands
were part of the disputed territory fought over by Ohio and Michigan.
